History of the Firm
MMCo was established in July 2004, when Rudranand Maharaj and Zakheem Mohammed returned to Trinidad and Tobago after working at international audit firms in The Bahamas and the United Kingdom. They were joined by George Diffenthaller, a retired partner from another international firm with over 40 years of experience. The office was initially located at 76 Rushworth Street in San Fernando and in 2006 moved to its current location at 34 St. Vincent Street, San Fernando. In 2018, Zakheem Mohammed retired from the practice and Mohan Ramnath was admitted as a partner in the firm.

MMCo is located at 34 St. Vincent Street, in the southern city of San Fernando. As a medium-sized, 100 % locally owned firmed, we pride ourselves in being able to serve over 100 clients all over the country. Our clients come from both the private and public sectors of Trinidad and Tobago.

We focus heavily on the training of our human resources and all our employees study for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. This professional qualification combined with our staff’s undeniable tenacious work ethic earns us respect from our client management and staff members alike.
Maharaj Mohammed & Co. is registered with the Institute of Charted Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) as a practicing audit firm and is also a registered firm with the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA). To maintain our high standard, MMCo. is subject to the practice monitoring review of the Institute of Charted Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). This program is aimed at ensuring that audit reports and audit procedures comply with international standards auditing and other internationally recognized rules.
