Insolvency

Assignments of this type are categorized as follows:

Rudranand Maharaj is the first appointed Trustee under the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Act of Trinidad and Tobago which was proclaimed in May 2014.  He has more than 25 years of experience in insolvency,  and the firms’ main thrust is recovering amounts due to the debenture holder. This process usually involves securing the company’s assets and disposing of them in a reasonable time frame.

 

In certain instances, our insolvency department has been able to critically assess a company placed in receivership and where practical, restructure its business operations including cash flows and the company’s financing. After this process, we have been able to lift the veil of receivership and return the company to its directors.
